There are about a million blog mechanisms out there (blogger, livejournal, myspace, etc., etc.), but so many blogs now that there is no guarantee anyone will read yours. If you are looking to publish actual articles, there are about a million+ venues to do that. You need to query articles, like any writer.
I would start by google-ing (or "yahoo-ing") "political blogs - XX" (whatever camp you fit into, so "liberal", "conservative", "libertarian", etc.)
Or look under Yahoo groups under "writing" -- there are a lot of sites that give advice for publishing.
Or, look under Yahoo groups for groups that discuss issues/ topics that are close to (or friendly to) what you are interested in writing about, and have a large and active membership (check the dates of the most recent posts).
You can also comment on other people's blogs.
Salon.com has a good blog report. They are a liberal magazine, but they do a blog report every week (Sunday?) that has both what the conservatives and the liberal blogs are saying, that might be a good place to check out the well read ones.
Livejournal also has a RSS feed function (you can list blogs and other resources as "friends" and that gives you access to their feeds).
The bottom line is, be patient. There are a lot of loud voices out there, and you'd need to build up a following/readership. One way to do that is to read a lot of other people's blogs and comment wherever possible so that people who are interested in your replies chase them back to your own blog (which is why things like blogger and livejournal are good - I will always check out the blog of someone who makes a comment that stops me, whether it is good or really alarming/terrible).

They have a great reputation and a very high profile.
If you can blog on your site or write newletters that is optimal. It also raises your search engine position.
If you can not blog or write newsletters, add a page on the site that you can change occasionaly when you write a new one.

There are many ways to market a small business on the web. You can buy banner ads, text links, or use PPC. However, the best way is to get listed in a bunch of portals. Portals and directories are like phone books, and they often provide a lot of traffic because they tend to rank high on Google.

i once wanted to publish a book and all i did was go to read.com but don't type it in google or else it won't work well when you get to read.com then on the bottom write publish a whatever you want to publish and it will work maybe im not sure you have to answer quastions like why you want to publish and stuff like that. |
