When you're selling, always pay attention to the feedback. That is very important. It gives you a look at what kind of buyer they are. When you go through the process of selling something on there, the directions are pretty much cut out for you on how to do it. Give a great product description, always tell the truth, if there is anything, I mean anything at all wrong with it, say so. Even if it is insignificant. On what to say about shipping and stuff, look at what other buyers wrote, that's what I did. The shipping part, you set up when you go to sell it. You can put the calculate shipping on there, or put a standard flat rate. I always use the calculate shipping, that way I don't over charge someone. After someone wins, you can click there name to email them about payment and shipping. You also have the option of sending them an invoice. The best thing you can do to ensure getting your money-this is what I always say-Paypal Only! Payment must be received by exactly one week after bidding has ended. If not, you will be reported as a non-paying bidder, and the item will be re-listed. Hope this helps! Good luck. |

Shipping: Stick to what carrier you can do. For instance, the closest UPS store is 20 miles to some seller and they frequent UPS, therefore they use USPS. Fortunately for me, both UPS and USPS is very close to me, so I use both. Most of the items I ship is via USPS. If you purchase postage online, you can get free Delivery Confirmation when sending Priority Mail. You can also order free USPS boxes. Pack well. Buyer will always rate on how well you pack especially if it's something fragile.
Selling: Make it firm, and be honest with the buyer. List out defects and precise condition as you can - buyers will appreciate it, so they don't be surprise. I dislike it when the seller don't clean their items before selling if it's used. I dislike it when seller makes money out of the shipping charge. Your best bet is to go to your book store and get tips from eBay books. It's all in there.
Contact: Be firm. Don't be flexible. Again, get books on eBay... in fact don't get it if you have time to just flip through it in the bookstore. Always remember, communication is the key to successfull business. |
