tell them to wait a second the baby's in the bath or whatever excuse u want to tell them.. then just don't go back to the ph.. don't hang up either.. they will be paying for the call and they can't ring anyone else until u hang up.. keep doing that they will soon wipe you of their calling list , another one someone told me was to press hash repeatedly it's supposed to wipe u off their list, I got a ph with caller id so whenever it says number withheld or private , i just don't answer, i think that it's a total invasion of privacy the way companys call ppl, they try me after hours up to 11 at night and on weekends it really makes me cranky.. anyways good luck with that. |

Hi I found the way to best stop these companies from calling your home is first are they creditors calling or are they solictors?
The creditors you can send them a mail notice to stop and de-exist. Then they have to stop for solictors there is national do not call list. If they continue report them to the attorney general in your state. |

I have worked in the telecommunications/sales business for some time. When we are delegated numbers to call for a sales attempt (telemarketing), there are certain regulations we must follow... If you receive a call from a telemarketer simply ask him/her to please remove your name/number/email address, if any, from their database/list. I suggest being polite, yet firm. Afterward, realize that any company you DO BUSINESS WITH has the right to call you with a telemarketing offer again, even if you've told them to remove you from their call list. So, if you don't want to receive calls from a company, make sure you are not their customer! Also, in many cases a telemarketing firm is allowed 30 days to remove you from all of their spider-like database lists by law. So ask... that's it. |

Get on the no call list (Consumer affairs). And tell them not to call you again, if they do again within a certain amount of time (depending on laws) it si harrassment. |
