that i have to write for work about donating money to a charity but also by donating a substantial amount be involved in sponsorship/advertising our brand on their vehicles?

Im totally at a blank. Any help would be really appreciated?!

You need to be careful to make it clear that the donation is not conditional on the advertising, but future donations will be. Charities are not allowed to "sell" advertising to donors, it has to be a free gift.
Maybe refer to 'partnership in promoting this cause' and perhaps request they use your company logo and name in return for you providing increased means to propogate their message...

Sounds like a fun job.

Why not write an exploratory letter first to test the temperature. Many charities do already advertise on the sides of donated vehicles where the money was raised. Write and tell them that your company are cosnidering making a substantial donation to the charity and would appreciate their policy and protocol on your companies name being put on the vehicles. Make it clear that the donation is not conditional on this, but would be appriated if this was permitted at your expense. They need to know that the monies would still be made available to them even if it was not allowed. Don't blackmail. It is a charity and ther best givers are always anonymous.

Don't do this a letter! This sounds like a great opportunity for a promotional lunch or brunch to kick off an advertising campaign. Invite all the folks you need to get your message to and feed them some great food. Get your sales pitch down and knock their socks off - make sure you push the fact that they're not only making a donation, but they're also getting great outdoor advertising...not to mention the great publicity they'll be receiving just for being associated with such a "worthy" cause.

i think u should start of by saying, dear sir or madam

or to whom it may concern,
then go into talking about what u are concerned about i.e. charity work....talk abt where u heard abt their charity....and also say how much u will donate etc...and talk about the range of opportunities ur brand offers for people to be engaged in charities (name some events)...and talk abt how well known ur brand is ( i dont meant bost...but generally...we are starters, or we;ve been established etc)...then talk abt what u can do by adveritising ur brand on their vehicles...and ask them if this idea is suitable for the charity organisation...as it is a campaign only to raise money for a good cause...
