You should check out the article at http://tymes90.googlepages.com/gettingtraffic there are some great ways to get free advertising for your site. Make sure to sign up for "instant buzz", "free traffic bar" and "1on40" these are all free ways to get traffic to your site and they can be found at the site above. Sign up for them first. Then there are also other ways to get traffic to your site within that article. You may also want to bookmark that page, everytime I find new, free ways to advertise your website I will be adding them to that page. |

I would just join message boards and make a post in regards. Let people know what its about and include the url. This will be especially beneficial if you go to related sites that have message boards- in this case I imagine that it would be art sites. Also, if you use any message boards now include a url for ur page on ur signature line and everytime someone sees one of your post they will see your url. You can also do both post a message in regards and post the url in ur signature line but don't spam- people will loathe you for it and report you so one posting per week per board should suffice.
Oh, one more idea you can start a fwd. email and email the site url to everyone in ur list and ask them to forward it to everyone in their list. ;) |

I would suggest using keywords when you can that Google and Yahoo! scan. Also find websites that are in the same kind of genre with you and trade links with the website owners. Sometimes you can find a group of websites that you can apply to be a member of called a 'ring'. Throw it out on social networks like crazy. Myspace, Facebook and the like.
Ask fans of the website to do the same on the social networking sites. |

You can place ads in the search engines and link to your website by using Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing. But you will pay for that.
Free ways would be going to sites like ezinearticles, Squidoo, Hubpages, etc and writing an article related to your site and putting a link to your site from there. These backlinks help with your rank and people will visit who see these articles. |
