Where are some free/inexpensive sites I can advertise my photography business? I want to focus mainly on wedding & portrait photography. I'm just starting out and have done a few small jobs, but would like to get my name out there.
Also any ideas on free/inexpensive web hosting/websites that will allow enough space to showcase my photos. I have a myspace site, but it's limited to who can view it because of the membership. I also tried to create a geocities website, but it doesn't allow enough space to hold all my images.

yeah, the posters before me have it right..... craigslist can be very useful. Also, since you are just starting out, I wouldn't recommend limiting yourself. Approach dance schools, pee-wee leagues, local schools, karate schools, and any type organization that caters to kids. I know kids can be a handful to deal with, but business is business. |

Well, I mean for wedding photography you may have a local newspaper that would let you advertise for free.
If not, perhaps you have something like we have in England, called AdMag which is basically a newspaper that people buy and is full of ads. The ads are free to place and a lot of people will see them.
However, sometimes spending a good amount of money and placing it within a wedding magazine for example could make you a great deal of money and get you a great deal of clients. However, as you're just getting started I would stay small and let your reputation grow. There's nothing better than word of mouth once you're going. |

the best way is to start shorting for magazines,mayb a free offer or half discount the first shots......the deal for free advartising in the mag..
then u can also take ur own nice pictures for facebook, belive me people will want to know where and how......that already self advartising |
