I've solved all the world's energy problems by perfecting cold fusion. How can I market it?

If a man screams in the woods....

1. Be absolutely certain that you are correct and able to prove it
2. If possible have a practical application (model)
3. Get a serious patent lawyer. You will need money.
4. Publish your theory in a scientific journal
5. Partner with a reputable corporation. (Yes, they visit inventor fairs and read trade magazines).
6. Consider yourself lucky if you get a fraction of earnings. That invention is so potentially huge you will be able to spend bucket loads on loose women and video games for the rest of your life.

Let's assume you are correct and did indeed find the holy grail of energy. You have achieved what countless nobel prize winners have not. Congratulations. Let's even take this further and say you did it in a way that could be cheap, doable and applicable to any nation.

You're in trouble.

To market your invention, you will need partners with clout. Yes, you'll have to suck up to the man - if the man is even interested.
Otherwise, you will face one of two options: You will either be branded a hoax or your invention will be crushed by competition.

History has precedent for this in Romanian scientist Nikola Tesla, inventor of AC current. Even today, his portrait is buried in the Smithsonian while his former employer Edison has a veritable shrine dedicated to him.

When Tesla lost the support of Westinghouse, his life drifted into obscurity. He lacked the financial backing and was called a madman by his contemporaries. In truth, he was the same as always: A scientist at heart, who kept working until his death. His later inventions such wireless power and a batteryless electric car are only now being seriously revisited.

But your invention is so good, it will sell itself! Not so. Electric energy is far more efficient than oil. Still, the internal combustion engine will probably be dominating the world for years to come. Not because it's the better invention, but because there's a large industry geared to it's production and support.

While we expect cold fusion to be able to solve global warming and the energy crisis, the details aren't clear. How do you convert a cold fusion reactor into an engine? How do you harness or store the energy? Even in the best case scenario, this would require a lot of research, design and money.

Your glorious invention is nothing but a cog wheel in a large and long process of related inventions. But, you'll be certain to get a Nobel prize for it....

Send me the details, leave nothing out. I think I must have left out a step. I will see what I and sell it for and won't charge you a thing.

If you had perfected cold fusion it would be on the front page of the newspaper. Cold fusion is a hoax. Stop posting such idiocy.

giving fusion away is impossible let alone selling reason being the academics and billionaire and huge science corporation of this world dont need to communicate with normal mortals they just need to Waite then steal or should i should i say waite for the invention to come through by being passed down and most country's research are implicitly linked try iran
