- Traffic Exchanges (solo ads get about 100 visits each & 3% conversion sometimes)
- Email Spam (dirty, but cheap)
- Yahoo Answers resource link (steady click through traffic, 1 per month per post)
- Forum Posts (on your topic)
- Social Bookmarking (way faster than submitting to search engines) New Pages
- Posting Articles & Press Releases in Directories
- Blogging on Your Own Site (and then bookmarking)
The last one is the best one, in my experience. Make sure you do some keyword research before you go ahead and post about crazy topics that either everyone's already heard or no one wants to know. High search volume, low competition is key. |

This website is great for web advertising. It's a free targeted advertising (based on you selecting various categories you would like to be included in) and link exchange network. You put other websites text ads on your page and yours appears on others. And it really is 100% free, forever. While it's not something that guarantees traffic it also doesn't cost anything, so why not try it?
If you tell me a little more about what type of site it is I might be able to give you some more suggestions.

try business networking. it's a network similar to facebook and myspace but specifically aimed at business people
you create your own FREE profile containing your webpage, blog, audio, video etc, and it's viewed by literally thousands of other members on this site - which includes business entrepeneurs and associates. it's great exposure for any site
using this site you can also advertise via the yellow pages

You could start by submitting the URL of your website to Google, Yahoo and MSN.
You could write articles for http://www.ezinearticles.com and mention your website URL in the bio box.
Post in forums like http://forums.digitalpoint.com and leave your website link in your post. Digital Point has millions of visitors but you have to be a member for a week before you can include your link in posts. Take note!
I have many other suggestions on my site, search for the relevant posts and products, some are completely free!
