I am looking for recommendations for logo designers. Any suggestions?
We have a logo that my wife produced in word but to be fair it looks appalling and that's being kind. There are hundreds of logo design companies on the internet so I don't know where to start, can anyone reccommend somebody that they have used and are not ridiculously expensive. thanks
I used a design company in bath for our logo, I didn't really have much of an idea how to create it and left them to it really but am very happy with the designs they produced. If you've got an idea of your logo already then that should help. All I had was a scrappy sketch but they managed to produce it on a computer and print it out. They use it on their website so I guess they must be pleased with it as well, take a look below

consider finding a graphic desinger local to you. Most modern Graphic designers are computer literate and can provide electronic versions of the finished design
think clearly what you want your logo to represent and brief the designer fully.
that way round you should get what you want and something that actually represents you rather than something similar we did for Fred Blogs & Co last year.
failing that consider advertising in or near a uni / college that does graphoc design

Are you lookng for a new design or someone to develop your own design and produce it more professionally.
If you want to use your design, get a friend with a bit more computor savvy to tidy it up and save it to disc then it can be used by your printers or suppliers.
But on the other hand if you need a logo I could assume that you may be running a business so why not run a competition within your establishment with a prize set at what you are willing to pay for the work.
