I work at a small bank and we are trying to think of ways to show our customers how much they mean to us. I am looking for some really extraordinary ideas, even something that would show the whole city that we care about our customers!!!
We have only come up with one idea so far, and that is to buy dessert at a restaurant for everyone for a couple hours as a suprise. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

i think in order to get businesses to open accounts, they want something in return.
i would advertise that any business that opens an account with your bank will get free advertising in return. maybe pass out magnets or business cards of that business to customers, or put their names on you envelopes that you put $ in for customers. that will make other businesses jealous so they will join also. but i really think that businesses are white collar, so maybe you can work with a dry cleaner for a discount as long as they bank w/ you. the dry cleaners will work for personal accts. also. let me know what you think at booshell50@yahoo.com. thanks |

When LaSalle opens a branch here, they always have a customer appreciation day. One time, they had a party in their parking lot, face painters, massage chairs set out, hair braiding, and most of the vendors were family of the workers, so it was fairly low cost. They also had make your own sundae - trust me, we go to every LaSalle opening (but I've yet to open an account there!).
I think doing something in the bank parking lot is the best way to go - if you do it at a restaurant people might not even know it's your bank sponsoring it - |

Instead of "gimmicks and trickery, and little side show stall's", after every dealing you have with a customer, ask them," is there anything else i can do for you", and say it with heart and a smile. as people will goto you more often for service and a smile. Also now this will be hard , but every one when they open an account have to fill out documents to prove "id", well on their birthday send them a "birthday card" from the bank each year |

One cool one I heard of happening somewhere, was a business sponsored free hotdog/chips/drink for all at a community family day. It could also be done at a July 4th celebration or another event that really targets your market. I would take notice if a bank did something like that in my area. Don't forget the balloons with the banks logo for all of the kids. |
