LaDonnaMarie | I am not asking for charity but need help? |
I am here today seeking a sponsor for a poetry competition to be held in July for four days. I am a published poet and underpaid (vastly) freelance writer. I am looking for a businessman/woman who will sponsor me for the competition. The cost is $545.00 and that includes lectures, classes, a promotional booth and award event. If I can find a sponsor, I would market your company for the four days of the event, if you can supply fliers, magnets, pens or anything else about your company. I would also write a booklet with a history of your company complete with stories of your staffers, how you got started and accompanying applicable poetry. I have also written a poetry book, too, and any sales from these books I would gladly give back to you or donate (in your name) to the charity of your choice. And when I accept my award, I would thank everyone in the name of my sponsor and express my gratefulness that the sponsor was able to send me this year. Additional Details I want to tell you a bit about myself. Again, I am a published amateur poet. I am also mature (43) and I have two college degrees. I am an excellent orator and have marketing experience. I would be willing to do this contractually (giving you the money from sales or donating) and I can draw up a sufficient contract as I am a Certified Paralegal. I am honest and can be trusted to do the job and would be glad to report in every day. Additionally, if you live in my city (Las Vegas) you are welcome to visit my booth and meet the many visitors who will be coming in and out for the four days. I simply don't have the entry fee as we are a struggling family who have battled medical issues and have kids to feed without receiving any child support. My husband works hard but he just beat cancer and medical fees were high. We also live in a very expensive city and I currently am disabled even tho' I don't look it. I am also presentable, professional and clean. I wouldn't be an embarassment to you. |
