The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.
Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).
The article "Earning Money from Surveys" provide a short list of legitimate market research firms and contains explanations of what to look for when joining surveys (and weeding out the fraudulent ones)

My sister did one that cost $10 a month. I think she made $15 total on it. It's not worth your time. All the surveys that pay money will seek out people that are likely to be their customers to obtain the best information. |

I paid 25.00 dollar once for one of those services it's a rip off! never never pay anyone money online. if you want to do surveys all that 30 is going to get you is a list of companies you could have found your self for free
I've done this for a while, doesnt not replace your day job but is great for some extra cash.
all you do is read emails(I dont even really ready them)
no start up cost give it a try!

it works okay but you have to have the time to constantly do them to make any thing and a lot of them want to award with sweepstakes entries i avoid those and just do the ones for cash or reedeemable points.plus once you sign on for one others will contact you. |

If you have to pay, it's not worth it. There are plenty of survey sites out there that are free and allow you to earn points for cash or prizes. I happen to like www.mysurvey.com, but there are lots of others out there. Another great site for winning free stuff is www.sweepsadvantage.com (it's where I found My Survey). It lists contests, free stuff and survey sites. There's no cost for visiting sweepsadvantage, and there's a ton of free stuff you can win. |
