I took their interview and something didn't seem right, they are full comission based marketing but they only need part-timers? They say you will make lots of money but they say they don't want me to quit school? Somehow none of this seems to add up.

To be honest, Primerica offers business opportunity to everyone, except for those who are under the age of 18, have a criminal background record, filed for bankruptcy in the past 10 years, or not a legal citizen.
Since this is a business opportunity, you are your own boss. You choose your hours and when you want to work. There are no quotas to meet. Since you really don't have any overhead cost to run your business other than a $25/month for the internet service (Primerica Online), you don't need to work hard or be stressed out. That's why there are many people in Primerica who work part time (such as myself). Most of them just do it to earn some extra part-time income. If you help out one family in just 1 month, you can earn anywhere between $100 to $1000+ (it depends on what you do for the client). The average time you will spend with the client is 4 hours. If you made $100, thats about $25/hour.
I don't think you have seen what you can do for families. My suggestion to you is talk to the person who recruited you and get help on how to schedule a training appointment. My first appointment was with my parents and the first thing that came to their mind was, "I don't want to buy anything." I told them "its a training appointment and that its ok if you don't want to do business. Just do it as a favor for me so that I can eventually see clients on my own."

My sister-in-law has been with them for about two months. I told her to stay away and she hasn't made a penny yet. Unless you know a lot of people and want to bug your friends and family for references you are wasting your time.
Her boss/recruiter came to give us a practice presentation and it was a joke to me. I spent most of the time calling him out on his misinformation and bs lies about how successful he is. He started the presentation trying to recruit me. I have a very successful job and got to listen about how he is making $300k+ every year yet he HOPES that his wife can stay at home with their kids next year. Nothing added up, just piled up. |

PrimeAmerica is a good company, but I believe they are Multi Level Marketing. You have to not only sell their product, but to make money, you have to recruit others to do the same. Google Multi Level Marketing (MLM) and see the pros and cons. If you are a great talker, have a lot of friends and acquaintances and can sell ice to an eskimo, then this is probably the business for you. If you are just looking for a job, then keep looking. |

I am presently signed up with them for a specific reason. I offer a discount dental/health plan (not insurance, but gives afforable quality care network and discounts to its members) and I also sometimes get referrals needing Life Insurance. I just wanted to be able to offer both and Primerica is owned by Citibank (many products available).
I like my upline and have NO complaints about them so far, even though I haven't taken my State Exam yet. They are a good training opportunity and have NOT been pushy to me about ANYTHING. If I had an upline like that, I'd drop it too because the time I have to devote is limited. It all depends on your group. It is NOT 'FISHY', but you do need an entrepreneurial attitute YOURSELF to make it worth your while.
I spoke to someone yesterday who is coming into my dental business with me who said he quit them because of the person who would be his upline. If you have a fair upline person, its a good opportunity. |

You know why Primerica doesn't advertise themselves on TV? Not because they don't need the airtime, it's because they would be exposed by it.
I posted my resume on careerbuilder.com looking for a job in IT. One of these snakes brought me over to these overviews. You won't believe the type of potential recruits I was mixed with....from firemen, nurses, to HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.
All these MMM companies should fall like AIG. |

I know a few people that have worked for Primerica. It's not a scam but if you are not cut out for sales, I would not mess with it. You have to get licensed (money you have to come up with) to sell several types of insurance they are not selling seeds to a money tree. You have to do a lot of work. |

My best friend did that for a long time... I think they are legit but I would go with the most experienced agent. Also don't let them sell you anything you do not need. If you have trouble saying no to offers dont meet with them as they can be pushy. |
