I had my Google ad up for two days and got no clicks. What am I doing wrong?

I posted my ad using Google Adwords earlier in the week and after a few days I hadn't had any clicks. I was discouraged so I paused the campaign until I can figure this out. I'm using as many relevent keywords I could think of - is that part of the problem? How long does it typically take for people to look at your ads? I'm just afraid of wasting my money.
Additional Details
It keeps saying my keywords are inactive...? "These keywords are marked in the Status column of the Keywords tab below. Improve their quality through optimization, delete them, or raise the keywords' maximum CPCs to the minimum bids indicated. (Raising the bids to at least the minimum will activate the keywords.)" What does this mean?

Listen to imisidro, has some good points, the other people do not know what they are talking about. I run over 75 campaigns and have been succesfull so far. I just wanted to add to imisidro comment. If my business is "internet businesses", my ad title would be "internet businesses", my keyword would be "internet businesses" and the top text on my webpage would be - well you get it.

Do not use salesy (if thats a word) desciptions. Title - exact keyword you want - first ad line - what is the content - second ad line - how it benifits the buyer.

Hope this helps a little. I do mine a little different then most. I have an ad for each keyword so mine match up exactly. When they type in "widget" my ad says "widget". This is what captures people to click.

If your Google Adwords ads are not being clicked on, then you are not wasting any money because you only pay if the ad is clicked :o)

Here are some things to consider:

- the ad is not relevant to the keywords you have identified. The most compelling reason for ads not being clicked even if the ad is getting impression is that users do not find the ad relevant to their search query. Review your keywords and finetune them

- the ad title and copy is not compelling enough for users to click on. Improve the copy of your ad and experiment with the copy that gets the most click. Have different versions of your ad copy and see which one works best

Relook at your meta description - is it accurately describing your business using verbs or using too many adjectives?

Did your ad actually display? If so, where did it display on Google pages? You may need to increase the amount your are bidding for each keyword to make the ad show up higher on the pages.
