A patent attorney. You don't have to have the product just be able to describe it and/or draw it.

~~~~~ Also consider publishing your idea because once it is published in a formal document, magazine, or journal, it is considered the beginning date for you claiming the idea. HOWEVER, this way can be challenged by anyone with a good lawyer. Best to use patent attorney. And who the heck says he knows about patents when he spells it pattons?

Your local engineering university has an extension course for small business to improve their product and productivity. For a few dollars you learn a whole lot.

If you believe it is a novel invention worth the effort, the patent attorney is a good start. Otherwise, look for a company you respect that might be interested in getting the product manufactured, marketed, and distributed. That's a lot of work, and for most things, best left to an organization already experienced and set up to do it. Marketing and distribution channels are particularly hard to establish.

I WOULD SHOW NO ONE AT THIS TIME. GO ONLINE AND FIND A WAY TO COPYRIGHT YOUR IDEA THEN SHOW SOMEONE. THESE DAYS EVERYONE WANTS TO GET RICH AND YOU DON'T WANT THEM TO TAKE YOUR IDEA ,ESPECIALLY IF YOU FEEL IT IS GOING TO DO WELL IN THE MARKET YOU DESIGNED IT FOR. GOOD LUCK!

do research on how to protect your ideas and inventions firsts.
Your local court house should have information on getting "pattons"and protecting your investments!
Details ,and photos of ideas. Have your mom or dad go with you to notarize your ideas.
*I drew some plans for a friends' invention,he mentioned until his patton came through that he mail his ideas to himself.Which somehow made them legal documents.(i didn't really understand this,maybe you could call your local postmaster and have them explain this)
Then look into getting an attorney.
