you should start by trying to sell your product to friends and family and see if they like it, and if they do then get a cheep domain name and start a small online business type of thing |

If you really think it's a great idea, you'll need to get a patent for it to ensure that no one steals your idea.
Ask people that you trust, like your parents or closest friends what they think. Or maybe make a survey for teens that illustrates the idea, without giving too much away. If it seems like it'll be popular, maybe try selling it on ebay. If that takes off, get a patent immediately, then your next step will be to get it in stores. |

patent it if you dont want someone to steal your idea.. u could patent it yourself and it would cost a lot less than hiring a lawyer of course it's a lot of work to do it urself |

Is it an absolutely unique idea that you could patent or not? If its not possible to patent the idea/product then you always risk someone copying/stealing it - if this is the case then you would have to get a website organised (or your selling area/reps etc) and get it to market quickly and develop it as your brand as a priority... if that makes sense.
Obviously, you cannot tell us anything about it here but I think you probably follow my suggestion. If its not unique enough to protect then your website and marketing needs to be well though through.
- But very good luck with your idea... sounds like you could have a very exciting future ahead... I hope you do :)

Hook up with a friend in the fashion industry and see what they think and then take tips from them. Or hit up a small time retail shop and talk to the owner about selling your stuff through the shop. If all sells well then go online, advertise, and patent/copyright/or whatever. |
