I have an internet business that needs traffic(visitors). Any low-cost methods to drive traffic to my site?

Getting traffic is a combination of a lot of things. The key to success is to create great content that visitors want to use, search engines will love and other websites will naturally link to. Of course, it's easier said than done.

2. Make it easy for users to recommend your site. Viral marketing is very important -- and easy to tap on the Web. But give your users the tools. Here are some free techniques to get more traffic to your website :

b) Post comments in public forums/newsgroups (Google calls them just groups) with your websiteâ€™s URL as your signature. Go to Yahoo/Google and type in the keyword/keywords in the search bar and then click on the Groups link at the top. Google will return the top Public forums or groups related to your wesbiteâ€™s theme. Pick any of the top 20 groups and start participating actively in them by posting comments or replies to other peopleâ€™s posts. There are techniques and etiquette to be followed. Do not advertise your site openly â€“ just include your Websiteâ€™s URL as part of your signature to the posting ( do not include your email address or you will get spammed). The key is to participate, not lurk, and don't just post messages promoting your site.

The more you post the more traffic you will get. People will click on your link out of sheer curiosity.

c) Add comments (relevant ones only, please) to other blogs, you can usually link back to yours. (This won't help your search engine rankings, but it may allow others who are reading those comments to find your own site.)
