I have seen people put a sign in their front yard noting that the house is for sale and listing the web site. Flyers at the grocery, flea market, etc. Listings in the classifieds with the web site. Where I live there is a small site of people who sell their homes through the internet, but it is local only. Maybe a sign is your vehicle windows. Hopes this helps a bit, Good Luck. |

Even with excellent SEO, your site will not start generating hardly any traffic until after 3-4 months - and that's if it is keyword optimized, submitted to the SE's and has significant enough content to be spidered.
Your web site can be a great showcase for your house by offering a lot of photos and information, but it will not likely drive a lot of traffic to your house.
The people who come to see your house will jot down the web address and you might get a chance to sell them on the house that way.
It doesn't work the other way around unless your web site is already well established.

There are a lot of ways how you can do it.
1.) You can tag your website to other websites that allows people
to come at your website. Just need to spare few bucks. or,
2.) You can advertise it on the newspaper. or,
3.) If you want to do it by yourself, then, You can make FLYERS or POSTCARDS and give them to any nearby stores. They can help you with it.
4.) You can even paste a note outside your home saying it as "SALE" and tag your price for better suit.
Try these.

There are some ways to get traffic to your site:
1. Post in forums. If your site is about house, search for "home for sale forums" in Google, get a forum account and post actively there. Include your signature with a link to your site.
2. Submit your site to Google Sitemap. This way, Google will crawl your site faster increasing your chances of appearing on Google Search Engines.
3. Join TrafficSwarm to get some traffic by reading other people's website first. In return, they will go to your site. Check out http://www.wanginternet.com/traffic
4. Join PPC programs like Google Adwords, MIVA or Yahoo Publisher Network. I personally go with GoClick.com since I can advertise my site for only $0.01 per click and the minimum to join is only $10 which adds to your available credits to use. Check out http://www.wanginternet.com/ppctraffic |
