Don't bother with paper advertising, unless it is in a targeted publication with high potential customer base... By far the best place to advertise a website is pay per click advertising... It is a monthly service with guaranteed results... if they don't achieve your desired number of leads, then you don't pay... you only pay for what you have actually received. This website is great for web advertising. It's a free targeted advertising (based on you selecting various categories you would like to be included in) and link exchange network. You put other websites text ads on your page and yours appears on others. And it really is 100% free, forever. While it's not something that guarantees traffic it also doesn't cost anything, so why not try it?

Hi I think you need to get your web site attached to another appropriate firm to get hits on Web. This will eventually, hits allowing, get your own site raised on to page 1 on a search for miniature dolls house etc. You may otherwise be down on page 3 and who looks at those. |

Go into WHsmith (or google ' dolls house magazines' or something) and pick up every magazine devoted to dolls or dolls houses. Contact their advertising department and place an advert in their next issue or several issues advertising your site. You're not going to get anywhere unless you reach the right audience, and then you can also see who and where the competition are in this field and if your site really stands a chance. If a well-established site is already selling similiar stuff cheaper than you can, then you'd be best advised to stop now before you spend any more money, and just do it as a hobby on eBay or something. You're unlikely to be able to make a decent living out of this I'd have thought, just pin money. Spending hundreds or even thousands on advertising might be counterproductive. |
