Give an award for the best front porch. It will make the property look better and will encourage the residents to keep the place clean. I live in an apratment and always have flowers etc on the porch. But it kills me that some people think their porch is an extension of the trash can (which is against the lease agreement). |

i use to manage 120 unit complex something i found to be fun was having a contest on the nicest looking yard people would decorate with flowers and Easter decorations ,we also had Easter egg hunt for kids but the yard decorating was the best we gave them 50 dollars off 1 months rent and its a nice way to keep yards looking good lol |

Have them decorate their hallways or stair wells. the winners get a prize. If each floor or block or however it's spread out has their own common area, have them decorate it, give them a theme for each floor, or have a common theme for them all. Make it something the entire community there can participate in. Another idea is a progressive dinner, where you all start out at one building for appetisers and drinks, then you all go to the next building for salad and breads, then to another building for main course and drinks, then on to another building for desserts and after dinner drinks. Just make it fun for everyone to get the most participation. |

An "old fashioned egg drop" is always fun!When my daughter was in grade K the entire school had an egg dropping contest.All that is required to do this is a fresh (non cooked) egg!Each person or family has to figure out a way to keep the egg from breaking when dropped from a considerable height ( the school janitor would gather the eggs from each class and drop them from the roof of the school) be sure to have everyone put their name on the container their egg is in!My daughter and I won!We got a small cardboard box and put 2 holes in it (one hole on opposite sides of the box)then we took a nylon stocking and placed the egg about half way into it and tied a knot in the stocking on each side of the egg.we then pushed the ends of the stocking through the holes in the box,tie a couple of knots on the outside of the box as close to the box as you can get it!Then one side at a time pull the stocking through intil the the knot is at the hole in the inside of the box.then do the same on the opposite side of the box,the second side will pull the stocking very tight and when the box containing the egg is dropped it will keep the egg from breaking! It was as much fun seeing all the creativity from each student as it was winning!This would be a fun thing for your tenants and would also be a bonding time for child and parent |

what is your budget and where is it held?
i manage properties also, but not that many.
well...if u guys have a swimming pool then have a pool party which u can have volley games in the pool and other water games. u can also do easter egg hunt since its coming up. if u dont like any of them then i suggest writing a little note to ur tenants and let them know that your open for any suggestions. good luck |
