I need a good idea for a business....?

I have an office with internet, tables, and a strong set up for fax, copy, scan.. I also have a mail box ext.. account and am able to run credit cards... It would make my year if someone could give me a good idea... Thanks You.

Trying to find something will never work. You have to do what you love as a business owner to make it work.

Find something you love, and then do that. I myself always liked to clean my car and keep it sharp. I went to college for engineering. But later left all that and went into detailing. Then body shop painting. Today and for the past 10 yrs I have owned my own high line cosmetics company for autos.

Say you like horses. Buy 10 acres and then advertise you pasture board horses. Avg rate is $300 per horse. Thats $3000 per month yet a land mortgage of around $300. Easily can be done on what most call worthless building land. Few sets or 1 large chunk of land and you make a good steady profit.

You mention office items. Offer an outside office service. I myself am a small biz as in just myself. And I know many that are like this. Many have no clue how to do paperwork, how to get good business cards, how to make forms, how to do nightly or weekly Quick Books, etc. Advertise an office biz to small companies so the owner can focus on the business and you are in way the office manager or bad worse, secretary. They give you receipts, computer files on disc, etc. Charge like $50-$100 a wk for doing all the work. 10 companies and you make good money. And you are only talking a few hours per company if you are set up and know what you are doing.

If you like cars, taking pictures and can do basic web sites. Then you could do what I do on the side. I do weekly inventory pictures for small mom n pop car lots. They have no clue how to do pics, web sites, etc. And they don't want to afford the price of the big boys like Dealer.com, etc. So in I come offering to stop by twice a week to take pics of the cars. To post the info on AutoTrader and Cars.com plus on the web site. To up keep a simple 2 page site. To put up specials, remove sold, etc. I spend about 5 hrs a week per dealer yet get $350 cash under the table.

I could even show you how to make $70 every 15 mins in the car/dealer industry. Something I recently came up with. Thinking of shutting my paint down to do this new item only. Profit margin is just too high to ignore it.

Money is all around in front of you, just a matter of seeing it.

Even something as simple as a gutter cleaner. Car, ladder, bag of trash bags, gloves, business cards. Knock on 30 doors a day, 6 say yes. 1 hour per job, $50 per job. Thats $300 per day x 5 days is $1500 a wk. After costs, taxes (17% since self employed) you are looking at $1000 net. For what? A few home chores of cleaning leaves from a gutter. Most don't make that out of college.

Start with a plan for marketing your business idea.

Marketing 101

You could always start a pyramid Internet or mailing scheme. Actually don't do that cause i hate those people. But seriously if you good with computers, you could always start a computer help desk. Or something along the lines of a printing service, if people fax what they want printed in bulk. Even though that will cost a lot of money for paper and cartridge ink.

If you don't go with any of those ideas or with anyone else's, just think of what people need most in the world and try and work from their and make a business in doing whatever that need for the people maybe.

sell on ebay?

sell used furniture/other goods and sell on craigs list for pick up only. rent a storage unit and put your goods in there until the buyer wants to see it.

become a mortgage broker?

Well I'm opening my own wine making and distribution business. Find something you like that you are good at and run with it. It doesn't have to be everyone needs. You just need to find a niche. Whats missing from your community. When you find that, do you have an interest or knowledge?

Create a paper less office, Improve your digital nervous system, All transaction should be carried out in electronic forms only. No paper, Good state-of-art and easy to Analise the data of your company.

Be prepare for that, Try to connect it to Internet with fire well protection to your sales data. Try to organize your transaction on globally on Internet. Try to promote your business on Internet.
That is next step for you, Find out weather you are getting all information regarding your market share and product demands and stock availability whenever you want within just a click short while?
Be prepare for more competent market. You need to invest very little, You will get big gain in form or low transaction cost, Easy availability of your core important data. Well maintained office environment, Plenty of business opportunity.
