I need few marketing tips for promoting chinese restaurant?

I am planing to start a chinese restaurant, I am in need of few tips in promoting my restaurant.

Make some tasty opening offers. Offer opening discounts. Free wine.
Hand out flyers and TALK to passers by, outlining your plans. Visit offices in the area - mentioning special offers.
Produce colourful flyers with a catchy headline.
For example ....... Do not commit CHOP-SUICIDE........try ours instead !!.
Get a mention on local radio. This can be done free.

Use free services like http://www.sellit-right.com - accepting businesses and products.
Create a blog and allow comments from users.
Hand out flyers offline and encourage people you know to do the same.
You can us Facebook and or Bebo or Myspace.

Find a young chinese person (I mean someone from China, not the race). Maybe check the local colleges. Have them come into the resturant once a week to give free Chinese lessons.

I think you should design a website or write down ideas for a website design and take it to a developer. But I personally, would learn website design and design a website myself or use a website design generator program for people who do not know how to write HTML. These website design generators write HTML for you- the generators just give you tools to pick your color background for your website, text size/font, allows you to upload images to the page, etc (ex. Yahoo Small Business= http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/ )

Then once you have your website, it is important for you to market it for your region, not necessarily nationwide or worldwide to start. Your goal is to get it noticed in your area first. So after your website is done, in the TITLE tag of your website, put in some information regarding your website and whatever you put in the title tag, make sure you put the SAME information in the DESCRIPTION tag. And the most important thing, since you want to market it in your region first, somewhere in the title and description tag, put your city and state in. Why? Because the search engines use the title and description tags to find your website after you have submitted it to search engines (if you don't know what this mean, just type in "how to submit to search engines" into Google or Yahoo and it will tell you what it is and how to do it). So when a user is hungry and decides that he/she wants some Chinese food and they decide to type into the search engine- "chinese restaraunts in 'city, state' " then they could find your website in search.

Once you're ready to promote nationwide or worldwide, I use a free advertising service called Link Referral= http://www.linkreferral.com/adwel.pl?oldrefid=170270 = They provide free traffic to your website. But you are welcomed to use this immediately from the start because some promotion is better than none.
