Main basic thing is you should work on various factors of SEO ( search engine optimization) to get your site rank & traffic well in the search engines.
Basically, you should link your site to various sites outside the world. Once you get a good number of links, and when you give links to your site and maintain certain aspects in your site like updating the content regularly etc.,

One of the easiest ways to promote your site is to submit it to search engines, such as Yahoo.com. Before you do this, make sure the site has the proper meta tags, so the search engine can properly identify the sites content.
Look towards the bottom of each search engine, and you will generally find a link to the submission process such as the Yahoo link below: |

Hi,
Get rid of those flashing colours (this is my opinion, of course).
The text is a bit small. I could read it fine, but lots of people will find it illegibble.
You could invite people (your coleagues) to write articles that you'd post.
Then your coleagues will tell others about their articles on your website.
Write good content and be corteous.
