There are quite a few things you can do to try to increase blog traffic:

- create a blogroll of other reputable blogs in your industry
- enter a blog award competition
- submit your blog to blog directories
- read other blogs in your industry
- write about what you've read on other blogs and give links to them
- find ways to promote your blog in different social spaces, like Twitter (if appropriate)
- if you are using Wordpress, you can install certain plugins to help with SEO so your posts are found relevant for popular search terms and can rank highly |

Try StumbleUpon at http://www.stumbleupon.com and add your site to your favorites.
You can try article marketing at an article submission service like http://www.ezinearticles.com and link back to your website in the resource box for your articles.
