Best thing for you to do is to delete the message straightaway. I'm from UK and too many scams by post as well as by the internet... there's no new about that... it's just one of the problems around UK, so don't mind that.

I think its spam email address because if you didnt know the person than yea it spam. Just delete it.

If you don't know them, just delete it. There are all sorts of weird ones asking for money from uk addresses.
Don't Panic
If it looks suspicious, bin it and report the sender to Yahoo. I'm sure that Yahoo doesn't like their email to be used for dubious purposes.
