Newspaper ads. Create a website. Post flyers on bulletin boards. At least until you get your business out there.. Then Word of Mouth would be best.
(You have to use money to make money) Placing ads will cost but is the best thing to do. |

Yellow Pages, Internet, put up a posterboard in store windows, stop into local businesses and ask if you can put some of your advertising materials or business cards at their cash registers. Stores that sell products that you could "plan" for. i.e. bakery, children's clothing stores, or bridal shops, photography studios, reception/banquet halls etc. |

Many ways you need to fig out what you want to spend and what the return is going to be. Calling cards are a great start for any bussiness, word of mouth, flyers, newspapers adds, yellow pages in phone book, web sites, billboards TV and radio. A lot depends on what type of bussiness it is you have and who and what type of people your looking to contact. Any advertisment is good advertisment if you have a small bussiness and you have agreat product it may take time but word of mouth (if your in a small town) is normaly enought |

Your local newspaper, and a Yellow Page ad. You can also check if local party supply store will let you leave some business cards their customers can take, or put up a flyer about your services. |

You could advertise in your local newspapers, on placemats at local restaraunts, send out mass mailings with a newsletter about your services, advertise on the web, put up fliers on local cork boards at other businesses and another great way to get your name out is to leave some literature at your local Chamber of Commerce and Tourist information booths...good luck. |

Local papers, primarily your neighborhood and surrounding. Rather inexpensive and targeted to your most likely clients. Also most small papers will have someone who helps create ads since most of their advertising is from small companies without their own ad department. |

I was with the Yellow Pages for 25 years and would refer you to your local rep. The YP is idea for your type of service business with many sized ads that should be affordable. You can target your market and track the results. It gives you the most local exposure possible for theleast amount of expense.

a newspaper ad, or pennysaver ad (that's a small weekly that comes to everyone's doorstep in So Cali), or whatever you have there. .
maybe also billboard advertising in your town (check it out, it might be cheaper than you think). .
advertising on the local advertising cable channel (the one that only has ads). . or some kind of internet advertising. .
good luck and God bless you. |

Try NOC. It's risk free. You only pay when you see results and any price you're willing to pay. |

i worked for a framing and scrapbooking store that just started in on the scrapbook thing when i got there. they went around parking lots with flyers for 10% off the purchase.
incentives are always a good way to get someone to come and at least see what you have to offer. i'm sure 10% off is much harder for you to do, but maybe a cute little gift or a discount the next time if they referr you or something. |
