ok so i have an idea that will help capture a lot of thieves but i don't know where to start. First let me just say this, it's going to be a product for purchase and this product will help capture criminals. I have the idea in my head, but where do i go from there? I'm going to need money to start building it but how do i build it if i don't know how {i just have the idea of what i want}. Where do i go to get the money, to have someone help me build it and to advertise the invented product??? |

First, get an understanding of your market. (either forensics or security?)
Then get a business plan that shows how much it will cost to develop, build and market, + how much money you need to live on for the time you are doing this.
Then approach the venture capital market to get the money, or find a company that already operates in the market, and sell them the idea, or offer to work for/with them (and sell them the idea)
The management skills required for a successful business are at least as important as the technical skills, but are often overlooked by new businesses.
ps, better do some serious research to see if someone has beaten you to the idea |

I would start research. If you have an idea then just go with it. Find a parter or a sponsor to pay for your invention to be made , produced, and sold. But you want to make sure its affective. Test your idea, makes sure its efficent. You want resources for everything.. and I mean everything! Google is a good way of finding a local sponsor, or even a national sponsor. The internet afterall is the world at your fingertips.
That is the basics. If you would have included where you live and etc I coudl have given you more pricise answers.... But in fact that is the only thing I have to say.

SOMETHING that will help capture criminals? Jeeesh! You are the MASTER of weasel words. Something but you don't say WHAT. "Help" but you don't say it WILL.
The ONLY thing that will capture (other then the police inflagrante) criminals is a Spyderman style net or Toon Town Glue from the movie "Who framed Roger Rabbit"
You got a LOT to learn about the law before you go off "catching criminals" wholesale.
First, you gotta catch 'em IN THE ACT. Inflagrante is the sexy term. THEN you have to be able to hold them until the police arrive. (that alone will take some hour and a half-doughnut break) The law won't let you summarily execute them on site (cruel and unusual punishment they cite) SOO.
Ya gotta "nique" up on 'em. Get them of tape while they are APPROACHING THE BUILDING. This system can also alert you (some 20 miles away in Republican land) that the bogeyman is getting close. THEN you call in the cops to scoop 'em up.
Does YOUR system work like THAT? If not, maybe you better go back to studying criminals. |
