Not sure, I think I would hve to see the ad. But as a marketer, I would probably have difficulty doing such a postcard.
On the other hand...it was probably effective...it caught your attention.
A boss had me do a brochure with a picture of a woman whispering in a man's ear with a headline, "Have we got a proposition for you" and many people thought it was racey. |

in permission based marketing u can send postcard only if ur permitted by the prospect.If you never have permitted the advertiser for showing the advertising,then i will say that the advertiser crossed limits for which, you can even file a law suit against them.
About the creativity in the advertisement,its not necessary that every ad.that shows a gal in an erotic background sales sexual goods.Eroticism is also a way to advertise in order to cut the clutter. |

I won't consider it offensive. Advertising is trying to attract people's attention, let people create their own imagination to enjoy the product. I dont know what they are selling, but sometimes differnt people will see differnt things from same source. |

What were they advertising? I probably wouldn't necessarily be offended but I would definitely be rolling my eyes at the thought of someone thinking that would actually work. Had to have been a team of male advertisers working on that campaign. And I also agree it is very tacky and tasteless. |
