People who have experience with me, in a business or personal context, have already had all the advertising that is necessary.

Those with no experience of me, in either a business or personal context, will have no additional need for advertisement.

For what would I be selling myself?

One would imagine that a business card is all the advertising that most people use. It is used after, and at the the time of, any encounter with the person/business.

The brand values you put accross, are those experienced in the meeting. Is it the name of the business, or the person which people take note of in the exchange of business cards?

Advertising is not a panacea and is not always the most effective tool for this (It is number 6 on the list for service based professionbs).

For personal branding, the single most effective brand building method is the proper and effective use of networking using a solid and targetted system with measurable success criteria.

I use a range of tools for this.
