idea as an individual business person? I'm planning to do this since my boss said my idea is nonsense and he doesn't want to talk about it anymore. His client is now interested and waiting for me to present my ideas. I will be paid for this and my boss has nothing to do with it. Everything will just between me and the client. This is for billboard concept so there is a possibility for my boss to learn about it once he saw my idea in billboards and banners. Additional Details My boss is the president of the company. I want to help him but he always think that he is the best and that his ideas are the best.
Doesn't bode well with your relationship with your boss -- if you plan on sticking with the company and working for him. If you do that, be prepared to leave your job. You actually stole a client from under the nose of your boss.
But it is a good opportunity to start going freelance. Many people have done that - steal (err, "get") clients of their existing companies and offer them better products and services.
