SEO has two dimensions. On-site SEO involves making sure you have clean, crisp, search engine friendly code from top to bottom and plenty of keyword-friendly content. Off-site SEO is all about building inbound links to your site (and doing it the right way).
I wouldn't worry too much about PR. It doesn't always correlate with search results, which is what you're really interested in.
There are plenty of great sources for info online. I recommend participating in some of the bigger SEO forums, for instance. You can glean a lot of info there.
The bottom line, however, is that action leads to better SEO. Get started with a few core systems to create backlinks the right way after checking your site itself. |
