I am done shopping at Gap..simply because of this annoying ad.
Just as I refuse to do further business with AT&T for violating the FISA court and illegally wiretapping Americans without court order.

I hate it. And don't bother e-mailing them because they send everyone the exact same e-mail "word for word". I doubt they ever read the complaints.

there are alot
also others suggested clicking the Canadian or Australian flags at the bottom, because the ad doesn't feature in those countries |

It's creating an association in people's brains between GAP and being driven crazy. I'm less likely to shop there. |

very annoying and violates one of the key components of Internet marketing.
Nicolas Negroponte of MIT, Wired, and OLPC, fame in 1995 wrote a seminal book: Being Digital.

One of the interesting observations he made was that we were moving from Broadcasters (like news, etc.) to Broadcatchers were the individual decides what to look at or read from the tremendous flow of content and information.
What this ad does is violate my space by broadcasting in a broadcatchers world, it will not have its desired effective for either GAP or Yahoo.
TV, Radio, and newspapers are all struggle with this problem, they are trying to send a message and no one is home. In my opinion, the same will happen to anyone trying to "broadcast" on the Internet. |
