Is Godaddy a good place to get my website from?
I'm about to start my website in 2009 but i still have to buy it. I need about 7 to 15 subdomains and i need to know if i should get it from go daddy or if there is a better place. if there is a better place can you tell me...

I recommend one of these: http://www.hosttell.com/

Powweb is on a 50% sale - $3.88/month ($46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them.

Godaddy doesn't offer a free domain, but you can get one for $2.19 if you're buying hosting from them, plus they also have a 20% sale at the moment.

Godaddy is one of the few companies that make me feel like I'm getting more than I'm paying for.

The prices are cheap, they're reliable and they offer a lot of options and services at no extra charge.

Their tech support is not always the most helpful, and you might sometimes feel like they're a little on the slow side but I have yet to find smart sounding first level tech support anywhere else.

I would recommend them.

Yes Godaddy is the right option. it would provide the best services.

yes its a good option.

Go Daddy is an Internet domain registrar and web hosting company, which also sells e-business related software and services.

Go Daddy is currently the largest ICANN - accredited registrar in the world, and is three times the size of its closest competitor.[2]

It was first ranked largest ICANN-accredited registrar in April 2005, when it surpassed Network Solutions in market share of total domain names registered.[3] Media speculation for the gain included lower prices and the expansion of the Go Daddy product line.[4][5] The company also offers Web site design and hosting packages, among other services

Go Daddy's advertising is produced in house, and typically emphasizes sexually suggestive material (with the exception of their NASCAR advertising, in an attempt to avoid being attacked by fans, networks, and NASCAR). Featured on their website, most of Go Daddy's commercials began with the 2005 Super Bowl advertisement, and from there went further to other television stations, with many being rejected for content. CEO Bob Parsons refers to the marketing as "GoDaddy-esque" which he describes as "fun, edgy and a bit inappropriate."[

It sounds like you know what you want out of your web space enough to where a company like rackspace.com might be pretty helpful. They offer a more consultative approach to your web needs than others, while their prices are comparable. If you're into personal service, go with them.

If you're not up for that, you might consider yahoo, dreamhost, or godaddy.com Right now, godaddy.com is cheapest--and they offer a "free" SSL certificate (if you're doing any shopping cart stuff). But dreamhost currently has a deal where they offer unlimited space AND traffic bandwidth FOR LIFE!!! Killer deal if you're going to be putting up tons of content (more like storage actually). All of them can do plenty of sub domains if you need them.

As for me, I'm getting a new site up this week, and I'm buying it through godaddy just cuz they're cheapest for what I need. Good luck identifying best value for your needs.
