MLM itself is not a business - it is a marketing style for businesses to use word of mouth and the multiplied efforts of thousands to sell and market their products with a minimum of investment in advertising and little need for retail store space.
The problem with MLM is that it reaches a saturation point, especially in small to medium towns. There comes a point that everyone has been deluged to join or buy products. Your downline becomes your competition in essence of sales, and the only people making any real money are the early buy ins to the program. |

Of course it is. It's the BEST business model on the planet...ask Robert Kiyosaki. If he's got an opinion about a successful business I'LL LISTEN BECAUSE HE PARTNERS WITH DONALD TRUMP AND THEY KNOW ABOUT MONEY.
Having said that, I must point out that MLM is a lot of fun but it faces MANY obstacles that give it a bad picture..Most MLMers spend their time circulating bad press about companies other than their own so they think they're harming the company...they're actually harming the entire MLM industry when they do this.
MLMers also spend their time trying to SELL their products to people. It's NOT their job to sell but they think it is and they do it.
My advice to you, since it seems like you're considering doing MLM based on your question, is to send me a private email and I'll share a recorded call with you that will answer your question ENTIRELY. I have nothing to sell to you however being of a coaching and training background I can't help but feel that I must SHOW you exactly what's hot and what's not in the MLM industry.
It's a true business and the average person can achieve real success if they've got the right team and right attitude and they don't go about intending to SELL SELL SELL or RECRUIT RECRUIT RECRUIT...Selling and Recruiting alone, form a nice recipe for FAILURE and FRUSTRATION. |

MLM is definitely a true business. It is all in the mindset on how you define a business. Well, a good MLM business is one that allows for a comprehensive commission to be earned. It must not too complicated. A complicated network gives subscribers the feeling that the company is playing the hard game to give out commissions.

It depends on the business you enroll in and the "team" you sign up under. Some teams are focused on selling training tools and recruiting, rather than selling the product. Unfortunately, the over-zealous MLMers have given the entire biz a tarnished rep.
In the end, you'll get out of it whatever you put into it, and I think that one does have to have a certain confident and assertive personality to be successful in MLM. |
