Yahoo tells me that the only payment option I really need on my website is Paypal to make sales. Do you think Paypal is a good enough option for most people or should I get a credit card payment option (more work to set up)?
Paypal doesn't require a lengthy process to set up. Traditional credit card merchant services often require that you be in business for several months (or years) and can be expensive to set up.
Most online merchants will start out with PayPal because it's so quick, easy and inexpensive. The traditional credit cards come later.
We use both at the company I work at, PRWeb.com, and many of our customers really appreciate the PayPal option over conventional credit cards.

Paypal is the best out there. you is at your advantage. plus its more easy to use because they make it simple.

Yes I think Paypal is good enough for doing online sales.
Advatages:
* easy to setup. All you need is a valid email address.
* can accept major credit / debit cards from your clients
* safe and reliable- clients can be assured that you do not handle their credit card details. everything is done by paypal site.
* no hassle setting up merchant account
* using PayPal API gives you more options
* also has it's own shopping cart program (but i prefer to have my own)
Disadvantages:
* your clients may think your business is not professional enough because you don't have your own payment handling thing. I may be wrong though.

You will make more revenue if you increase the number of ways people can give you money.
So, eventually you will want to provide PayPal AND Credit Card payment.
Yahoo is wrong when they say all you need is paypal.

Try paypal first. When you are making enough sales and think it will better service your customers, then add the credit card payment option. Keep in mind that the payment processors usually have fees to maintain on a monthly basis so wait.
