eBay's pretty cool but i don,t know about paypal i,d be careful with them every time i paid for a purchase they would hold out double or triple that amount i ended up having to call them about it they said they would give it back with in two days so i guess its wait and see |

A bit of both no matter how careful you are you can be caught out by the sharks however I have also encountered some realy wonderful people who have gone out of there way to be helpful a bit like real life realy |

What I say is to make sure you only buy from people with above 97% postive feedback, double check anyones feedback if it below that or even at or above that.
The best thing to do is research and if you do buy, its better to buy from a company rather than an individual.
I say check feedback because I won Ace Combat 6 from a dude and checked his feedback and every1 of his feedback things said the original game case and instruction manual were not included (his feedback score was still 96% or w/e... HA) and that that tidbit of info was not in the item's description. Seeing that I paid a mere $10 less than retail price, I refused to pay. He broke his contract by being misleading so therefore I had every right to break contract. |

we used ebay in australia buying from all over the world
sure we got scamed same as we got scamed on yahoo mess sites no ne cares so please be carful we are down over 100k through scamers it takes long to make up |

I'm addicted to Ebay. I spend more money than I do on anything else on Ebay...
As long as you are making sure to check feedback, not buying from Nigerians and not selling to them , then you shouldn't get scammed.
Don't respond to outside offers...
If you are selling something for lets say $50 and someone offers you 800 UDS..... it's scam to take your money.
Always pay with paypal, and just be leary... if you are buying designer items that you expect to be authentic , then you better make sure you know what you are looking for... there are a lot of counterfeit items on ebay... but I have not bought any because I know what the real stuff should look like and what trademarks it should bear..
all in all I am happy with ebay and don't think it's unsafe if you are smart and have some common sense. |

Ebay was a wonderful site and there were many good buyers & sellers who could be trusted, along with the occaisional scammers that you just had to be smart (or lucky) enough not to get involved with. Now that ebay has decided to go thru with the new policies that is going to change. Avoiding scammers will be harder.
I'm supporting the strike by not buying or selling this week, or maybe longer

The first thing I ever bought on e-bay showed up broken (It was a magic 8-ball key-chain). I also bought some DVD's that were actually ripped and missing some parts. I never used e-bay after that. |
