Lot of fake goods being sold. Be aware. Especially electronics and luxury goods. Otherwise its generally safe.
Prefer buying from someone who live in your city or in your area so you can meet him/her before yo make a purchase. |

In a word, YES. Ebay security is very good. I've had over 300 transactions, selling and buying, and I've been burned only once. Do check a sellers feedback profile. If it isn't over 95% positive, then I'd reconsider buying from that seller. Ask lot's of questions if you are unsure about an item for sale. Ebay has a grievance process where you can address issues with a buyer or seller. I've done that before and it works! Yes, there are horror stories about Ebay, but there are horror stories about everything in life. Keep it in perspective, read descriptions thoroughly, clarify anything that's unclear, and review the feedback profiles. You'll have fun on Ebay. Beware that you don't get too caught up in bidding fever! There will be similar items available later. Enjoy! |

Yes ebay is safe!! and a very easy way to make a few extra $$.
I started ebay for fun and a few extra $ and now my wife and I have a nice home based business and don't have to work for anyone else.
The feedback part of ebay can be a bit discouraging but if you sell on ebay and treat it like a business where the customer is alway right and you want them to return and buy more you can do it.
You should always think of yourself as a business and remebmer the buyer is customer and they CAN make or break you. |

yea ebay is safe and it is always a good idea to buy from a buyer with a positive feedback because that means they are the most dependable. |

I've had about 70 transactions on ebay without a problem.
Positive feedback is a pretty good way to tell if someone is trustworthy...although I've heard it is possible for people to "Purchase" negative feedback removal through ebay. |
