It's really more of an American Southern thing, rather than something particular to race. You might find it interesting to research what target market KFC aims at, v. what Popeye's aims at. Not sure if both restaurants are aimed at the same market. |

When I was little, my mother went through a time where all she could afford was chicken. It was on sale at the local grocery store and that's all I ate for a straight month. Now I can't stand to eat chicken, fried or not. I'm white. My Boyfriend had chicken a lot in his childhood and craves it all the time - especially fried. But I think it's because he's a guy who loves his mom's cooking not because he's black. My mom was a terrible cook. |

Don't think color has anything to do with your taste buds. You like what you were brought up on and chicken at the grocery store is inexpensive. Many black people of the past had a lower income and so they bought a lot of chicken. I'm white and I love fried chicken as I think most people do. |

I think that black people make their individual choices. Whether they like fried chicken or white people more, less or equally probably depends on if they are hungry or not. |
