Is there a difference between consumers and customers?
heck ya
consumers are the animals out there that might buy from u.
customers are the animals that buy from u.
clients are the animals that comeback to u to buy.
each has a different value to u.

yes - your customer is the person who buys your product or service, your consumer is the person who uses your product or service.
Simplest example children's breakfast cereal. Normally a parent is the customer, but the child is the actual consumer - hence the ad's target the kids, not the parents

consumer

Consumers use the product, customers buy. But the terms are used in very similar ways by many people, its to be honest quite ambiguous really. They often end up being the same thing!

Consumers are the people who actually use the product or service ... which can include dogs & cats who eat pet food. For some consumers, you can do advertising on TV to get children to be anxious for some product, but this does not work for pet food.
Customers are the people and organizations that buy the product or service ... people, companies, non-profits, government agencies ... in many cases they may also be the same as the consumers ... there's an overlap
Let's suppose that via fraud, someone gets your product without paying for it ... that person is a consumer but not a customer.
Let's suppose that some organization buys a large quantity of your product for distribution to its membership. The organization is customer but not consumer. The members are the consumers.
