Absolutely...you have plenty of options to promote your new Web site. You can optimize your site to appear in Google & Yahoo's organic/natural listings. It's somewhat complicated, but I can boil it down for you: your site must excel in these three categories: content, code and credibility. For more information, read my 3Cs article and our free SEO white paper.
There are also tons of resources out there that are very helpful in guiding your efforts (see links below). You can submit to directories and relevant gift/e-retail industry sites. Don't forget local search (if you have a physical store) and paid search (aka sponsored listings or pay-per-click). Lastly, think about leveraging traditional public relations (PR) on the Web. We call this SEM PR. I've written an article about PPC and SEM PR, which are included below. If this is all too overwhelming, you can hire a professional or take courses and get certified. Submitting to search engines is a free process. You really only need to submit to the "Big Three". Google, Yahoo, and MSN.
The other minor search engines will pick up your site eventually usually through the "Big Three."
As stated by the others, present good content on your site, and write some articles. |

YES there is a way but it takes much more time and your site does not always get accepted. you can just go to the search engine, for example lets use google, and go to suggest a site. The google team will review your site (usally they have a crawler scan your page for key words, ect) and if they like it they put it in there engine. However that can take up to 3 weeks for them to even get to your site. so sometime paying is the better way to go. Good luck |

Just concentrate on writing really good content for your site and creating value. The web traffic will come. |

you can submit your sites to search engines for free.
Write some articles and submit to good ezine directories.
Submit your site for review on some high ranking forums.
If you all of these, you sites will be inexed by search engines and listed in there.
The most important part is to get listed on first page of search results which can take some time and some work from you. |

The quickest way i have found and this is no joke, is posting it in one of your answers here on Yahoo. It will immediately show up on Google. You could also check here for some great ideas on promoting your website.
