Is this AdSense Fraud? Please explain if you can!?
I was reading on the Terms and Conditions or something on AdSense and it said that you can't click your own ads as that is fraud. However it also said your family can't click it because it will think that it is you clicking it and you will be banned.

Does that mean my sister who lives miles away can't click them because they will somehow know. Or is it only people in your household that it can detect? If so, how does it do this, does it like note that you are on the same internet connection or something or is really just a scare tactic so that you don't just go to your secondary computer and start clicking your own ads?

Cause I really don't want to be banned from AdSense and even though I plan to tell my family not to click the ads I'm not quite sure they will listen or will forget they aren't allowed to.

Google wants users to click on the ads because they are interested in what the ads are offering, not because the user wants to help the website owner earn more money from Adsense

If your sister clicks on the ads because they are interested in what the advertiser has then it is ok. BUT -- you need to be careful that Google will not detect any pattern in her clicking. Worse, don't login to your Adsense account when you are in her house

Google has kicked out Google accounts for cheating. Some publishers even make sure that their family and friends don't know about the ads so they won't be enticed to help them by clicking on the ads

In general, this is tracked by different tactics. Google monitors every page impression (every time your webpage is viewed), and they compare that to how many clicks there are on the ads on the site. They have a range that they view as acceptable. If the click-rate on the ads is higher than they think it should be, then Google looks into it. They look at things like timing of the clicks, the IP Address and location that the clicks came from, and many other things. In general, it is not a good idea to try and beat the system, because they will find out one way or another, and you will be banned.

Bottom line is that you are never supposed to ask people to click on your ads. Send them to you site or send them to a great article, but do not tell them to click because it is click fraud.

Here is an excerpt from the Google AdSense website:

"In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, publishers may not request that users click the ads on their sites"

Adsense is not Fraud, it really pays. You bring traffic to your blog or website from net users of all over the world by using social networking sites, search engines and so on,

If they are 2 different pcs on different connection they couldnt tell through your internet connection.

However they have other methods such as checking for patterned clicking or multiple clicks from the same source.

Also if you both have google accounts its possible they could link you through cross referencing.

Having your sister click on your ads technically don't violate the terms of agreement. But since your sister isn't really interested in whatever ads are on your site, it's not how Google would want the ads to work.
