so i just sold my psp with a buy it now. after i sent him my invoice he emails me on ebay and said this:
Hi Seller, I am so glad been the winning buyer of your lovely item which i saw on eBay,Am interested in your item and i want it sent to my Grand Daughter in her Citadel of study abroad via USPS EXPRESS MAIL DELIVERY to an oilfield in the west coast..Would be offering you $100.00 USD for shipment fee,Money into your account via PayPal.You can send your full name and PayPal Payment request with the total cost of item including $300.00 USD for shipping, and this are the same on my paypal and also be confirmed by paypal team and send another invoices for immediately payment through paypal link as soon possible,

first of all you can tell his/her english isnt that great. second they want me to send it to someone else and i replied back saying as long as the paypal address is confirmed then its ok. third why is he offering me 100 bucks for shipping and then later on 300? this is only my 2nd time selling something on ebay so im still a bit of a noob. should i even bother negotiating with this person or just relist the item? im afraid if i do theyll give me a negative feedback. the thing that confuses me the most is that he has 36 100 percent feedback. thanks for all your help.

He pays first..then you ship. Until you have confirmation that the payment has indeed been cleared/authorized..
you do not ship.
This does indeed sound like the type of current scam being used. They send a check for more than what was asked, ask the receiver to refund a certain amount. By the time the check is bounced by the Bank, the receiver has already sent the 'refund money.' problem is..you just sent them some money for nothing.
So when in doubt..you send nothing. |

Scam, only send the item to the confirmed address on paypal, after payment has been recieved. |

Total scam. Lucky for you ebay is guaranteed. Although, I'd find someone else to buy the item and report the user to ebay for fraud. |

This is the classic Nigeria scam where you deposit what you believe to be a genuine article and take an advance against it. Then later on, you discover that the check bounces and you are out a lot of money. So beware -- this is a SCAM!! |

Tell them to just use the paypal link to pay for the item and include where they want it mailed to and as long as their account is confirmed there won't be a problem.
When you mail the package make sure you put shipping confirmation on it to prove it was received. this way if they try to dispute the transaction through paypal you can prove it was sent.
Now just to know how much was the winning bid + shipping? |
