Hi,
I was visiting your site and I have to say that people won't sign up because of several things you need to do.
1. First let people sign up "easily" by providing them a form right on your page. Not 1 click away not 2 clicks away. This will sort of faster the process.
2. Give some freebies, raise interest, grab their attention with a fancy juicy <H1> tag. BTW you can even use an article about coke or doctors or whatever you want them to vote to raise interest and emotions. This way your visitors will be forced to take "action".
3. Instead of having 3 links to a same page, get your two radio buttons frame right on the main page to be even more ease to use. Most people are in a hurry and don't have time to read. They are real scanners.
4. Get some more visitors on your site. Go bookmark this site to: diggit, delicious, netscape, mister-wong, etc ... bookmark sites. There are plenty of free resources which brings visitors to your site. But you have to work for it. Submit some articles to an article directory, use this link in forums, email signatures etc. Get it known first, and then you'll see results.
If you think of getting ranked in google for it, you'll need much more than 3-4 pages site. Therefor outsourcing your keywords and themes should be your first priority in attracting more visitors and even subscribe.

Here are some suggestions and comments:
1) Don't put ads on your site until you have a user base or steady traffic. There's no point in making a few cents every day.
2) Redesign the site. It looks like it's from the '90s.
3) The site idea isn't bad, but in order to get people to sign up, you need visitors, and to get visitors, you have to advertise and spread the word about your website.
4) Don't give up. |

offer free voting without signing up
do a 'vote of the day' about brad pit or something - keep it all positive and fun - avoid politics for the while

People do not want to spend a lot of time trying to figure out what your site is about. You need to put an explanation of what it is on the first page of your site. They don't know why they are voting unless they click on a bunch of tabs. Some people may think you are just collecting names for a mailing list.
Be concise and clear on your front page. |

Just voting, it is not a good idea for asking people to be a member to just to vote, u must have some other stuffs also, or remove the part of being a member, noone will like to become a member just to vote |
