Go to netinsert.com and add your site. Google will pick up your site in approx 1 week, MSN and Yahoo will follow in approx 3 weeks.

Link your site from another site that is already indexed. When the spider comes a crawling it will follow as long as the meta on the that site allows it to. Some sites have a no-follow tag to stop spiders from traveling.
Bookmarking sites, social networks, and directories can be good places to start. (I recommend the bookmarking/tagging sites personally) |

You might want to consider signing up on the Google webmaster site:
http://www.google.com/webmasters/
to claim your site and submit a sitemap. That can pay dividends down the road in helping you to understand how your site is getting indexed as well. |

You site does not become instantly visible as soon as you set up title and meta information. It takes time. And it would not hurt if you go through the major search engines and open directories and submit your site there. Your site will be indexed faster then. |

Gaining traffic takes time. And you have to wait for at least six months to see the actual results.
Also, try these web marketing tactics:
1. Start submitting to search engines and directories (when you've done this basic step, you would be surprised that the effect is sooner than you expected)
2. Start joining forums (related to your business) where you could freely discuss about your stuff. However, do not promote directly, be able to give forum members something that they need. Speak of benefits.
3. Try to exchange links with complement sites.
4. Try reading more web marketing stuff and freely ask experts in forums for you to get plenty of ideas and avoid marketing pitfalls.
