I am sorry, this should not happen.
Can you clarify what your call centre does?
British people often get frustrated that their company's call centre has moved abroad. A reason that I can think of is that often people abroad do not know the geography of the UK.This can make answering questions harder.
People should not get angry with you however as it is the company's fault. Often call centres are moved abroad as your wages tend to be cheaper than that off in the UK. Is that true? This gives the company more profit. |

it's like that here in the States too, pal.
Whereas I generally don't mind listening to someone from India as I find the accent entertaining....to a number of people from the West, the accent's too thick to understand...and it wears on the patience of impatient westerners.
Plus, it's a slap in the face to the national economy. When I get calls from call centers in India, Taiwan, China...etc, it reminds me on how crooked and spoiled US Corporate businesses are. |

See these so call British people who u call r not very rich people in UK. So their education level can be very low sometimes. Even Asia wages r less still our cost of living also little, so they hate us living hapier than them and also take their own country jobs. So pls pitty them just dont care let them tell any bullshit they want to tell still u dont loose anything right? u get ur bucks from them. So call more and make them annoyed..... |

If you have witnessed rudeness, I am so sorry. I am British living in the States. My fellow Americans (I am a citizen too), often voice their frustration when trying to contact their bank, computer support tech, etc. Yes, the accent is bothersome. We also sometimes feel that we are being spoken down to, or at least I do. We just want the answer and then move on. It adds another level to our frustration. Personally, I am also peeved that US and European corporations that provide such great return to their investors/shareholders, are usually the first to outsource. It's a tough one for all sides. |

Its not just British abusing Indians,this type of abuse happens between several nations. Sometimes people within a nation will come into a state of defensive mind about another nation because they do not understand the values,mores,or norms of that paticular nation. and the lack of understanding or the willingness to learn allows them to be stuck in fear Since most people around the world do not want to admit fear or ignorance,(because it makes them feel inferior),they will look for things that are not like their value systems. Instead of learning with an open mind why these things exsist,and how it supplies balance in that culture,they will downgrade and reject in order to feel superior to something they truely just dont understand.and these attitudes can and do sometimes come off as a group conciousness. Dont feed into the ignorance of others by being enraged ,acting out,or allowing yourself to accept their views of your culture and sulk. it is not your shame to wear it rightfully belongs to them so allow them to sulk in ignorance if they CHOOSE not to educate temselves about your culture.Be proud of who and what you are just as they are. Trust that they too have and do experince the same abuse...theyre just not wise enoough to retialiate in love. |

because you cannot speak english properly, give useless advice, and if i am banking, or whatever with a english company i want like everyone else to talk to some in england who can help me with my problem, not someone working for a cheap rate stealing english jobs who i cannot understand a word they say to me, and it is very annoying, you are the first an in most case's only line of contact so you get the frustration. if you dont like it quit the job |

I live in the US and it really annoys me also. I know Dell has or had their customer service people in India. I'm sorry but the Indian accent is really difficult for us to understand. Wouldn't you want to be able to understand the customer service person you are speaking with? I never did understand why you put someone with an accent on the phone who is in customer service. Makes no sense and it isn't good customer service. |

heyyyyyyy.. enough abuse.. thats how indian accent is.. and I hell dont understand your accent. Its not our problem that our toungues we cant twist the toungue like you do. If you have problem with call center complain to the company and stop abusing others. Its not that we dont try to make to help understand.. its just that how our accent is... thats how we are built. Its not a big deal.. you cannot do math like we do.! So stop scaring people from other nations...
In any case people start opening call center for India in US/UK.. hell we dont understand you slangs too..
Point is everyone needs like and learning to adapt to other accents and slangsssssss...
