The only survey company that has ever paid me is Survey Savvy. I have tried many, A.W. Surveys, Lightingspeed, and many more. Survey Savvy is highly recommended. A few months ago I blogged about A.W. Surveys and gave them a glowing review. Since then (Oct. 2007) I am still waiting to meet the minimum threshold of $75. Difficult to do when each survey is worth $1 and you only get 2-3 per month.
With Survey Savvy you can request a payout at anytime, and they are reputable. If you are going to do surveys that is who I would go with.
Otherwise, I would begin writing a blog, and get paid to blog by using Buy Blog Reviews, Smorty or Blogvertiser.

I have been looking out for money making opportunities on the web that I could do while I surf the web and didn’t require me to go out of my way to complete. I found this easy site called My Homepage Friends. So I checked out reviews and it was not a scam and a lot of people have received payments, so I gave it a try and it worked.
Well, it works by paying you to use their search engine which is based on Yahoo web search. In turn, Yahoo them for the revenue they receive which is split 50/50 between you and them. Since the company is based in the UK, the exchange rate is in favor to all other countries. That’s another plus point. The company paid me through my PayPal and doing the math, each search earns you a little over 3 cents USD. The payout of 20 GBD (about $40 USD) is achieved in two months if you search 20 times a day.
Even though I’m not generating tones of cash everyday, it is clearly not easy to get cash through such simple and easy means. I really don’t have to do much, but use their search bar when I want to surf the net. Anyone with a PayPal account can try. Just fill in your name and e-mail address; set the search bar onto your browser and you can watch the cash build up.

The website I use is pretty legit!! You don't have to compromise your identity or try anything. You just have to do as it says.
If it says "participate in a survey", you just have to participate in the survey. Once the survey is done, you can quit the website, even if the website asks you to give some of your personal info. You don't have to fill out that part to receive money. That's why I like it.

Hi there,
I've searched countless sites and forums wondering the same thing. There seems to be a fair few website's online for UK or US surfers, allowing possible sources of income such as completing surveys, searching the net, clicking banners, advertising products etc... Alot of them scams, and a few you have to pay for to sign up - and that's a sure sign that you'll never make enough money back to cover even the sign up fee!
Unless you have a very popular website, or product to sell, and thus advertise other's from you're own site, it's going to be quite hard to make alot of money online.
However, one site i've found for a wee bit extra income is MyHomepageFriends - http://www.myhpf.co.uk/apply001.asp?Friend=178007
Basically, you sign up, and use the search engine (which is yahoo), and for every search you make, the site makes 5p, and gives you 2p for this.. Now this probably doesn't seem like very much! But if you're making 50 searches a day, that's a pound a day and then - 30 quid a month! Plus, you get 1p per search of every friend you let know about the site..
So i guess it works like this (if I'm right hehe, been calculating this myself to see how much i'm due this month)
50 searches a day - £1... Monthly: £30
You refer 10 people who make 50 searches a day (you get 10% i think) - 10p from each -- another £1 a day... So that's £30 from yourself, and £30 made from you're referral links (great if you have a blog or a small website to advertise from, to get some referrals)... And they will pay you out once you've reached £20! You also get paid 5% for anyone you're friends refer, you can check all the stats online, i've made 64p from my cousin alone so far in a few days hehe!
Works well and pays you by paypal/cheque/credit card (i think maybe bank account transfer too, but definitely paypal!).. It's not a lot, but an opportunity to maybe make an extra £50-£100 a month for doing nothing other than what you probably already do in google - search the web! You can also check your balance at any time so you know how much you've earned and how much you've gained from you're friends earnings!
