Making an internet site?

ok, if im planning on making an internet site, which i am, how do i go about getting people to advertise on it. i have a very good idea for a website, is there certain companies that i have to call up that will help me find people willing to advertise on my site? how do i get a site copy write, can someone give me a bit of a detailed example of an internet business they have run, eg, is it alot of effort for no results. is it worth investing my time into.

You can stumble around with internet marketing for years if you don't know what you are doing. It is like anything else you need to get educated.
