a) Try to go for print ads in college magazines if this fits ur budget, highlight the featured articles and content.
b) If possible, you can have tie ups with the CD or music shops where people generally come or display ur collection on M planet.
c) you can also go for online marketing like put ur magazines on amazon.com. The books available there are paid and are not free.
d) offer them discounts..mention them in print ads ...........like buy this pair or any surprise gifts.
e) do not loose ur existing customer , offer them the bets possible services..as nowadays word of mouth publicity works the best.

If you have a web presence go with solo ads, and PPC.
There are many free forms of online advertsing.

Why not try either a book fair, or have night dedicated to a certain topic and encourage the community or students to visit your store to hear some stories or lectures. Get the word out, period! Ads, flyers, business cards, the more the better. |

Direct mail returns a 1 to 2% response rate and only if you offer a discount. Newspaper is too expensive as well. Instead, place an ad in your local Yellow Pages. They reach everyone, never get thrown out, and have sizes for all budgets. It's where people go when they have a need, like books.

Utilize the 3 foot rule , whoever is within 3 feet of you for more than 3 seconds gets a business card . Instead of sending out postcards to random people; target places like the library , churches , grocery stores and places where your customers shop. Many Business exchange cards and display them prominently if you'll do the same for them.
I am starting my own company too . I deal mostly in business cards , pamphlets , logo design for travel agencies and real estate agents in addition to personal stationary . You could get about 1500 business cards , 1500 flyers and 1500 post cards for

You can get your site listed on the top search engines for any search terms you want that apply to your website, thats the best way to get the most qualified traffic...there is a great resource for this, its actually invaluable, but I'm not sure how long you will be able to get it check it out and see if it's still being sold, there were limited copies

Present at schools. Use ads in local papers. Go to community fairs, etc. and have a booth there. Bring in authors and have readings. Put up posters. Give out flyers. Have contests for school children. Sponsor a youth team. Make sure you're in the yellow pages or similar. Maximize your website. Serve coffee and yummies, if possible. Advertise in ethnic publications re: your multicultural offerings. Create buzz. |
