isolve2009 | Marketing help for my company? |
I have started my computer repair & I.T. services business few years ago. We mostly provide I.T. services for home users at their place(on-site services). For marketing we usually distribute our company leaflet door to door at some specific areas. But the problem is that now we don’t receiving response from anyone, even my services are very cheap but still no one calling me for fixing there computer or for other I.T services. As I think my leaflet is not a very attractive in wording. I need someone’s help to make my leaflet more attractive by adding or replacing lines on it.
Here is my leaflet link, please check it for how its can be more attractive by adding or editing words?
http://www.geocities.com/zeeshanyz/LeafletFORCHANGE.jpg
Please give me your precious suggestion, and I can also send you leaflet’s word document for editing if you asked.
Thanks for everything Additional Details Thank you everyone to given me great advices and very useful tips.
My special thanks to Tahiere for making my leaflet much batter and to Shirlcy C for sort out lot of problems from my website and being very helpful for answers all of questions very quickly.

I agree with the others as far as the leaflet goes. It's not nearly professional enough and needs a lot of work (content, borders, fonts, colors, etc.).
Also, sometimes cheaper is not better. You need to do some research to find out what your competitors are charging and then charge slightly less than they are charging. If your prices are too low sometimes people feel like they "get what they pay for" and may feel that the services that you provide would not be top quality.
I don't see that you mention having a website. This is a MUST today in order to draw business for your company. If you DO have a website, send us the link so we can check for useability and search engine optimization.
If you DON'T have a website, you need to have one created asap (even it's just a one page site). Once you have a website and have it optimized correctly (ask if you need to know more about website creation, hosting, or search engine optimization), you can then start listing it with local sites such as Local Yellow Pages, Local.com, etc.
The main thing is to make your company look professional (whether it's on printed media or a website presence.) After you have that accomplished, internet marketing is the key to more business.
Good Luck,
Shirlcy C

Hello. The business that you are in is very competitive with relatively low barriers to entry - coupled with a global recession; I suggest that you diversify your marketing (the previous answerer mentioned the same thing). I'll answer your original question, but I will also make a couple of other suggestions - hopefully they will either help or provide inspiration for another marketing idea.
1. Your flyer - I'm not sure who your target audience is so I will respond in general. I would reduce the number of words on your flyer - people are busy and they are used to reading " in bullet points " thanks to the web. Here's a couple of examples: http://www3.web.com/diy-website-design/index.html and http://www.creditsolutions.com/landing-0707/credit-relief-help.html -- those are just two examples that I pulled off of the web.
The value proposition - a summary of your most poignant benefits - plus a very clear and compelling call to action (call now + offer an incentive to call). Perhaps you can offer a free computer checkup? If you offer a free computer checkup - then you can more easily get a name to market to in the future - additionally, when the prospect calls for their free computer checkup - you then have a chance to sell them something else.
Continue to poke around for landing pages on the web for Inspiration as to how to design your flyer - take a look at the most competitive online verticals - those companies have invested millions into optimizing their landing pages for conversions - take a look at the mortgage companies, credit repair companies, hosting companies, and online education companies.
Other Marketing Ideas:
1. Offer to teach a 1 hour class on computers at various schools in the area - you could win a school contract :-)
2. talk to you local radio stations - maybe they can quote you on computer related issues - think kim commando. That will get your name out - plus you'll get a link from the radio station to Your website.
3. Make sure your website is optimized for search. My guess is you'll want to optimize for time sensitive services - hard drive crash? virus removal? data recovery?
4. Have an aggressive referral program - ask your current customers to refer business to you.
5. get listed in angie's list and kudzu. when people search on the web, they should see your business and they should be able to see positive reviews about your services.
6. Make a video of your actual performance - post to you tube and to the social networks - it's ok to teach people how you do what you do - at the end of the day - your customer's go to you because they don't have the time or patience to do the work themselves.
7. Make sure your website is optimized for conversion - always offer discounts - post internet only coupons - remember lots of people go to the web to search for discounts from companies before they buy.
I have a long list of other ideas - but this should get you started.
I hope this helps.

First off I would change the coloring, just black and white, make it look more professional. maybe put a border around it.
next I would shorten it up. there's a lot to read.
1. state plainly something like Home computer repair and then state what you fix, you have broke it up on the page keep all the info together don't jump around. (organize the flyer better)
2. don't state most problems solved in 1-2 hours you are already limiting yourself.
3. put all the contact info together at the bottom.
4. it sounds too much like an ad you'd hear on the radio. this is a written medium.
it feels like tha ad jumps around too much. keep relevant info together. make it look more professional (lack and white).
maybe don't say low cost, because that makes me think inferior servic for some reason. say fair and reasonable pricing.
also, did you ever think of expanding you marketing strategy, if doing the same thing is not working for you. try something new. see if you can hang up flyers at local retail shops. (ones that don't offer repair services themselves.) or even bars, just places where people will see it. or take out an ad in a newspaper. just try something new, because doing the same thing will not help you.
hope this helps. |
