to attract customers... promotions, the word FREE will always get a response, money off for limited time, include something extra for free, money off vouchers (people like to cut these out etc, it's a novelty thing!), competitions - ie the next 50 people to buy your products/pay for your service will be entered into a prize draw, £15 Boots (etc) gift voucher when recommend a friend, free gift with next purchase

put an ad in the newspapers, try making flyers and posting it on places, mail it out to businesses or places that can use your product or need your services, create flyers, cards, magnets and hang it on houses, mail it out, pass it out, use referrals to give discounts, etc |
